BJORK VINO DE VOLTA El pasado 10 de noviembre la islandesa Bjork visitó nuestro país por segunda vez  y deleitó a los casi diez mil asistentes en el Estadio San Carlos de Apoquindo. En la ocasión recorrió sus más grandes éxitos y por supuesto cantó  los temas de su última producción: Volta, su sexto álbum  que contiene 10 temas escritos y producidos por ella misma. Volta contó con no pocas colaboraciones, a destacar la de Antony Hegarty (Antony And The Johnsons) a la voz en dos temas o el apoyo de Timbaland (Jay-Z, Missy Elliot etc) en la parte rítmica. Además,  en la placa se  fusiona el sonido islandés de una banda local de instrumentos de metal con el sonido étnico de "Volta. Un sonido vanguardista acompañado del encanto, creatividad y magia que Bjork  acostumbra  transmitir. THE MAGIC NUMBERS Cuatro integrantes, dos hermanos y dos hermanas. Por un lado los Gannon, Sean y Angela, y por otro los Stodart, Romeo y Michele. Juntos son The Magic Numbers, la banda que con un single como “Forever Lost” se apuntaron el valor de haber escrito una joya de pop sencillo, raudo y emocional. Pero había más. gaba en el pop con delicadeza e imaginación, algo que les llevó a ser comparados con grupos como The Lovin’ Spoonful, The Zombies o The Mamas And The Papas. Más allá de comparaciones, lo cierto es que en The Magic Numbers reluce el acento melódico de los mencionados. Un acento que con “Those The Brokes” (2006) enfatiza las agonising over new directions and, hallelujah, no songs about how tough it is to be a famous rock star – just 17 months after their first ray of sunshine, The Magic Numbers’ difficult second album is ready to breeze effortlessly into your life and prove that Romeo Stodart’s bucket of incredible heartwarming guitar-pop remains full to the brim. If it seems as if they’ve never been away, that’s because they haven’t. Tireless touring to show off the songs from their double platinum, self-titled debut culminated in a show at Brixton Academy in February this year, before the foursome crossed the ocean and set about converting the Americans. They locked themselves away over the summer to record this second album, but have already been on the road again since, touring the US Midwest with the Flaming Lips and Sonic Youth and giving British crowds at the V Festival and Eden Project an early glimpse of their remarkable new music.
